This is a stunning and easy to wear dress from the 1990s from Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld. It is cut to skim over the body rather then to cling and shares many elements in its design with a piece from the 1940s. The silk is very high end and very light in weight. The color is so unusual and even my camera has not captured it 100%. It is a dusty pale blue that has to been seen in person to fully appreciate. Over that base is a yellow and pink print that mixes flowers, the classic CC logo and the word Chanel in a paintbrush font. This covers the entire dress. The cut is further detailed with the addition of a pretty pink & blue floral ribbon that is used on the collar, cuffs, waist, hem and on each pretty flap pocket. The collar is neat and rounded, dipping down in the front. The sleeves are short and have turned over cuffs edged in that feminine ribbon. It is cut easy through the waist and the skirt flares out to be quite full as it nears the hem. I love the tightly spaced row of 12 Chanel logo buttons that run up the front for a touch of contrast to the pastels. As the perfect finish, two sweet little pouf pockets sit on each hip. Even though it is covered in the Chanel logo and name, it still manages not to seem fully in your face logo wise somehow. It just comes across as a perfectly pretty little summer piece. It appears to have never been worn, or worn very little. Excellent condition.
Fully lined through the body of the bodice in a pale blue silk chiffon. the skirt and sleeves are unlined. It buttons to close down the front as seen. Hand finishes. It is meant to sit a little loose and easy.
